I wrote a blogpost for MassChallenge.org on how Bitcoin works. It’s an amalgamation of a bunch of research and literature out there that I tried to synthesize in a cohesive article.

Check it out, if you’re interested

Recently I built a presentation for a class on marketing taught by an incredible Professor, Jack Derby. The presentation discussed the secret to Mekanism’s success (http://mekanism.com/). I built the presentation in the new Apple Keynote and was particularly proud of the design. I would like to also thank my fellow team members Steph Krantz, Kaitlin Deveau, Josh Youner, Kelly O’Hara, and Mike Restiano. Hopefully this gives you an idea of the cool things you can do with Keynote!

Here a few quick things that I think about when designing presentations:

  1. Captivating visuals
  2. Use text sparingly. Text should only be used for conveying main ideas, or when you really want to drive a point home. Also, visually emphasize important text (i.e. bold stuff).
  3. Have some sort of flow. Every presentation should tell a story.
  4. Make it clean. Have all the type, color schemes, and visual styles align. Explore new type faces! There some great ones out there (For this presentation I used “Gotham”). For some good free fonts checkout this article:¬†http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2011/07/19/best-free-fonts-designers/

Here are a few examples of some of my favorite slides (You can download the whole presentation as a PDF by clicking below):
